To the under-represented dark-skinned ladies, particularly of East Indian descent: Remind them how fabulous you are.
To quote Sting, that’s not the shape of my heart. I’m shorter than that, too.
I don’t usually talk about my personal life on tumblr, but since it pertains to the illustration:
It’s been about 6 months since I last saw my boyfriend (not including online) and I miss being able to hug him. Lack of hugs is the worst part of this long distance relationship. But the good news is that in a little over a week we’ll be seeing each other! I’m so excited!
My attempt at Jeff Winger, started while watching the season finale.
A bit* late, but here’s my take on Rapunzel!
(The plant pictured is rampion, which, in the original versions of the story, Rapunzel’s mom gave her up for.)
Kinda quick drawing and colour job.
This was the last of the Draw Every Day In April challenge, held by Karine, to whom I say thanks for that! It really did serve as an exercise in willpower at times, but I need more of that as an artist.
You can see all of the pieces I did for my animal limericks here. The few days that remained, I drew but didn’t reblog, and you can find those on the main blog, while you’re checking out all the other work.
Maybe it will inspire you to take on a ‘Draw Every Day of the Month’ challenge too!
I’m excited to show you guys that iris pattern I’ve been working on. Experimenting with some colour palettes I was not expecting to use, I quite like how it turned out.
What do you think?
I drew a martini? I don’t know why. I don’t even drink.
Anyway, here’s that martini.
My friend Tati’s birthday is today. She loves cats, so I drew her as a cat!
Self portraits are still difficult, even after having to do them so many times in Portrait Drawing I and II.
Needed a new icon for twitter.
L- The Leaping Liberal Lemming
(Liberal, of course, in the open-minded sense, not in any political sense)
Sketch of a huntress in the typical sort of costuming, because why not.
I made a quick, simple enough pattern, then did variations.
